Yes, absolutely! We’re happy to show you around. Please get in touch with us to arrange a suitable time.
Yes! You can bring them right to their cabin and get them settled in before you leave.
Our standard drop-off and pick-up hours are between 4pm and 6pm. However, we understand that these times may not suit everyone. If you need a different time, please contact us and we’ll do our best to arrange a time that works for you.
It's completely understandable to feel nervous about leaving your pet! Please give us a call so we can talk through any concerns you may have. We're not a giant corporation. Your pet will be looked after by us, the owners, Cassie and Jordan. We'll take the time to get to know your pet, including their habits, personality and little quirks, so we can create a routine that helps them feel comfortable and settle in.Jordan is a night owl and enjoys tucking pets in for the evening. You'll commonly find him sitting in a cabin with a pet on his lap late into the night. He's even slept in a cabin with a very anxious pup to help them feel safe and settled! Cassie, on the other hand, is an early bird and is usually awake before the dogs even get up. So when they do wake up, they're greeted with breakfast, cuddles and playtime! While we don't offer formal “trial” stays, you're very welcome to book your pet in for a short stay. We recommend 2 nights, which gives them enough time to become familiar with the space and settle in. The first day can often involve lots of excitement and exploring!
Absolutely! We have a real soft spot for special needs pets. We had a special needs cat of our own who lived to the wonderful age of 18, so we understand how much extra care and consideration they can need.We encourage you to reach out and have a chat with us about your pet's individual needs. We've previously welcomed anxious, blind, deaf and senior pets. Our facility is well suited to pets who need a little extra care or a quieter environment. While we can accommodate most special needs, there are some situations where we may not be able to safely provide the care required, such as pets requiring injections or pets displaying aggressive behaviour towards people. Please reach out to us to discuss your pet's needs. We also understand that leaving a special needs pet can be stressful for you. We provide daily updates, and you're welcome to contact us as often as you'd like while your pet is staying with us. We can never give you too many updates! ❤️
That’s completely understandable. Selecting group socialisation does not mean your dog will automatically be placed with other dogs. Before any group socialisation, we assess your dog’s temperament and suitability, considering factors such as their age, size and energy levels. Group socialisation is always supervised. While we’ll do our best to accommodate your request, selecting group socialisation does not guarantee it will take place. If we don’t feel group socialisation is suitable for your dog, they’ll still receive plenty of individual play and enrichment throughout their stay.
Not at all! In fact, we encourage you to bring your own food, including refrigerated or frozen food, to help keep your pet's diet consistent and avoid any tummy upsets. There is no additional charge for serving the food/treats you provide.
Because we're a small, low-capacity boarding facility, your pet gets lots of one-on-one attention throughout the day. There isn't a set amount of playtime or a paid “extra play” option. We simply spend as much time with your pet as they need. Some pets want to run and play all day, while others would rather have cuddles in their cabin or a quiet afternoon. We follow their lead and give each pet the attention and interaction they enjoy, at no extra cost.We love animals and we believe every pet deserves the same level of love and attention.Having previously worked in kennels, we found it heartbreaking to see pets receive less individual attention simply because their owners hadn't paid for additional time. That's why we don't charge extra for playtime or offer tiered care options.
Bring their own food: We encourage you to bring your pet's usual food to help avoid any tummy upsets caused by a sudden change in diet. Please provide enough food for their entire stay and clearly label it with their name. Frozen or refrigerated food is absolutely fine.Bring comfort items: Feel free to bring your pet's bed, favourite toys or something that smells like you to help them feel more at home. While we take every care with your pet's belongings, please only bring items you are comfortable with them using during their stay, as toys, bedding and other comfort items may occasionally become damaged.Ensure vaccinations and treatments are up to date: Please make sure your pet meets all vaccination, flea and worming requirements before their stay.Pack any required medication: Please ensure all medication is clearly labelled and accompanied by clear instructions for administration.Let us know about their needs: Tell us about any special dietary requirements, medical conditions, behavioural needs or anything else that will help us make their stay as comfortable as possible. You can let us know all about their needs in the online booking portal.Keep their routine normal: Try to keep your pet's food, exercise and daily routine as normal as possible in the lead-up to their stay.Consider calming support for anxious pets: If your pet is particularly anxious, speak with your veterinarian about whether calming supplements or other support may be suitable. If you plan to use a new product, we recommend trialing it well before their stay.Keep drop-off calm and positive: Pets can pick up on our emotions, so do your best to stay calm and relaxed when dropping them off. Keep goodbyes short, confident and positive to help your pet feel reassured and settle into their stay.
For dog owners in particular, we recommend booking our pet transport service if you can. We often find that dogs are much less stressed when they get to leave their humans and head off on an exciting adventure, rather than having to watch their humans leave them behind! Cat owners are very welcome to use our transport service too. 🐾
Yes, the safety and health of all our guests is our top priority. We require all pets to be up to date with their vaccinations and regular flea and worming treatments before their stay. Dogs must have a current C5 vaccination, and cats must have a current F3 vaccination. When booking online, you can upload proof of vaccination and treatments through our booking system. If booking by phone, please provide the relevant documentation when you check in.
We prefer that adult pets are desexed for their own safety and the comfort of all our guests. However, we understand there are exceptions. Entire animals may be accepted depending on their age and temperament. If your female pet is in heat or has recently been in heat they are unable to attend our facility.
We will make every reasonable effort to contact you as soon as possible. If your pet requires urgent veterinary attention and we are unable to reach you, we may authorise the veterinarian to provide treatment they consider reasonably necessary to protect your pet’s health and welfare. As outlined in our Terms and Conditions, you agree to reimburse us for any costs incurred on your behalf. If we need to evacuate the property and it is safe to do so, pets will be transported using a combination of our dog trailer and carriers/tethers in our vehicles. Our priority will always be getting the animals to a safe location as quickly and safely as possible.
